Now therefore seeing the Lord hath chosen thee to build the house of the sanctuary, take courage, and do it.

Consider now, that Jehovah has chosen thee to build a house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.

See, now, for Jehovah hath fixed on thee to build a house for a sanctuary; be strong, and do.'

Now then, take note; for the Lord has made selection of you to be the builder of a house for the holy place. Be strong and do it.

Now therefore, since the Lord has chosen you, so that you would build the house of the Sanctuary, be strengthened and accomplish it."

The Lord hath chosen thee - "The Word of the Lord hath chosen thee." - T.

Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build (f) an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and (g) do [it].
(f) Meaning, for his ark.
(g) Put it in execution.

Take heed now,.... Of offending God by forsaking him; or see, consider, and observe now what he was further about to say to him, concerning the building of the temple, as follows:
for the Lord hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary; a temple for the ark, called the sanctuary, Numbers 7:9 the Targum is, the Word of the Lord hath chosen thee, &c.
be strong, and do it, be of a good heart and courage, and set about it with vigour and resolution.

The sanctuary - For the ark to dwell in. Be strong - Take courage to break through all difficulties. Without this, we can do no work of God as we ought.
