And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Inquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.

And Josaphat said to the king of Israel: Inquire, I beseech thee, at present the word of the Lord.

And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel; Inquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD today.

And Jehoshaphat saith unto the king of Israel, 'Seek, I pray thee, this day, the word of Jehovah.'

Then Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, Let us now get directions from the Lord.

And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, "Consult, I beg you, the word of the Lord for the present circumstances."

And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the (d) word of the LORD to day.
(d) Hear the advise of some prophet to know whether it is God's will.

Enquire, &c. - This we should do, whatever we undertake, by particular, believing prayer, by an unbiased consulting of the scriptures and our own consciences, and by a close regard to the hints of providence.
