And his fellow servant, falling prostrate, petitioned him, saying: 'Have patience with me, and I will repay it all to you.'

His fellow servant threw himself on the ground and begged for mercy. 'Have patience with me,' he said, 'and I will pay you.'

Fell down at his feet - This clause is wanting in several ancient MSS., versions, and fathers. Several printed editions also have omitted it; Griesbach has left it out of the text.
Pay thee all - Παντα, all, is omitted by a multitude of MSS., versions, and fathers.

And his fellow servant fell down at his feet,.... In the most humble and submissive manner, just as he himself had done a little before at the feet of his Lord:
and besought him, saying, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all; using the very same words, in which he had expressed himself to his Lord, and had succeeded.

And his fellow servant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all--The same attitude, and the sam words which drew compassion from his master, are here employed towards himself by his fellow servant.

Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. It will be noticed that this unfortunate debtor makes exactly the same appeal as his exacting creditor had made to his lord.
